Ideal reader:
Nick is a 19
year old male who enjoys listening to alternative music in his past time. He's favourite
bands are The Vaccines and The Strokes; he can’t spend a day without listening
to music. Nick goes to university and studies music tech because one day he
would like to be a musician like Ben Howard. Nick works in Top Man and gets a
good discount meaning he is able to get clothes from there which is good because
he buys most of from Top Man and Urban Outfitters. Nick goes for the more urban
hipster look. He gets a good salary and can afford to buy MM weekly when its
out on shelves; he likes putting posters up in
his room of his favourite artists.
Online Based
1. It's important to have a website because it promotes the magazine and keeps the readers informed on the progress of the magazine. Having an online website would make it easier to update news on the website also information can be posted about magazine articles and sneak peeks on upcoming articles. Young adults tend to be on the internet to find information on their favourite artists so having an online based website will keep the audience faithful to the magazines as they wouldn't have to result to finding another online source to get their information as less people are buying magazines now than before due to online websites.
